North Carolina will return to the National Championship Game to face Gonzaga. The Tar Heel held off Oregon 77-76, and Gonzaga beat the persistent South Carolina Gamecocks by a score of 77-73. This match up is so tight, that it could end on a big play, just like last year. Speaking of last year, I think that North Carolina's experience last year will make a huge difference. North Carolina has a lot of experience in this position, unlike Gonzaga. However, Gonzaga has enough talent make this a very tight game. Karnowski and Williams-Goss will lead the Zags and play a huge role in this game, but UNC has better all-around talent. That's why this is my pick:
North Carolina-77 Gonzaga-74.
| A'ja Wilson, the MOP, lift the Women's NCAA trophy. |
The Women's Final Four has already been decided. A'ja Wilson and Allisha Gray led South Carolina in beating Mississippi State. Teams that come off of historic upsets usually don't do as well the next game. Wilson, the Final Four Most Outstanding Player, and her teammates, took advantage winning 67-55. Wilson scored 23 points and 10 rebounds, getting a double-double when it mattered most. She deserved the award that she got. What a year it is to go to South Carolina! In their 100th year, both the men's and women's teams reach the Final Four, and the Women win it all. Way to go South Carolina!
